On 25–27 April 2026, Eurasia International University hosted the International Student Simulation of the European Political Community (EPC) Summit, organised by the Jean Monnet Chair on EU Legal Studies and Europeanisation (EuroLaw) and the Jean Monnet Module GreenPoLe. The event brought together 27 Armenian and international students for a realistic simulation of one of Europe’s key political dialogue platforms.
Held shortly before Armenia hosted the 8th European Political Community Summit, the initiative gave participants a unique opportunity to explore the dynamics of international diplomacy and European cooperation. Students assumed the roles of political leaders, diplomats, and journalists, taking part in plenary sessions, thematic roundtables, bilateral meetings, and media activities.
Discussions focused on regional peace and security, democratic resilience, hybrid threats, regional connectivity, and the green transition. The simulation concluded with the presentation of a Co-Chairs’ Summary reflecting the outcomes of the negotiations. The event demonstrated the value of simulation-based learning in connecting academic knowledge with real-world policymaking while strengthening students’ analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
On the final day of the event, attended by H.E. Alessandro Ferranti, Ambassador of Italy to Armenia, participants joined an information session on the new Joint Master’s Programme in Political Science: Integration and Governance (POSIG), delivered by Dr Anna Khvorostiankina. The session introduced the programme developed within the EU co-funded Erasmus+ JOPSCIP project, implemented by an international consortium of universities. Students learned about the programme’s objectives, curriculum, international mobility opportunities, scholarships, and career prospects. Particular attention was given to its international dimension, enabling students to study at partner universities across Europe while developing advanced competencies in political science, European integration, public administration, and governance.
