EIU Concludes Erasmus+ CBHE Training in Sustainability, AI, and Green Communication

Eurasia International University’s Department of Management and Information Technologies has successfully wrapped up an intensive, interdisciplinary training program exploring the intersection of sustainability, modern research methods, artificial intelligence, and strategic communication.

Delivered under the framework of the Erasmus+ CBHE (Capacity Building in Higher Education) project “SIN-NEC”, the initiative is designed specifically to promote institutional internationalization and strengthen vital academia-industry interactions.

Led by trainers Anna Martirosyan and Edgar Amirkhanyan, the blended program brought together an impressive cohort of 157 registered participants. Representing a rich blend of Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students, as well as lifelong learners, the participants hailed from remarkably diverse professional background spanning Economics, Machine Learning Engineering, Pharmacy, Education, Project Management, SMM, Marketing, HR, and Public Relations.

A Comprehensive Curriculum for a Sustainable Future

Carried across a rigorous 120-hour (4 ECTS) framework, the training combined in-class sessions at EIU with online participation via Zoom. The curriculum was structured into six core modules designed to build both theoretical understanding and hands-on competencies:

· Unit 1: Introduction to Sustainability and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

· Unit 2: Pro-Environmental Behaviour and Sustainable Lifestyles

· Unit 3: Sustainability Research, Data Collection and AI-supported Analysis

· Unit 4: Green Communication for Sustainability

· Unit 5: Use of AI for Sustainability Content Creation

· Unit 6: Resilience Communication

Interactive Learning and Practical Outcomes

To bridge the gap between diverse skill levels and professional fields, the training utilized a dynamic mix of short interactive lectures, guided discussions, practical demonstrations, and peer learning. Participants worked extensively on real-world research and communication outputs, supported by individual and small-group mentorship.

Assessment was multifaceted, measuring active participation (20%), survey and research contributions (30%), a comprehensive research project (30%), and the development of a sustainability media portfolio (20%). Through these rigorous evaluations, attendees developed vital competencies in data interpretation, AI-supported research, green communication, and the creation of evidence-based awareness materials.

Looking Ahead

The success of this pilot initiative highlights a strong appetite for interdisciplinary education that merges green practices with cutting-edge technological tools. Building on this momentum—and following immediate interest from participants to adapt the framework for external organizations—EIU plans to expand and refine the curriculum for future cohorts, ensuring continued impact in sustainable development, internationalization, and industry collaboration.
