A few days ago, the Department of Languages, Communication and Pedagogy had organized a TD workshop led by Juli Sarris, PHD, professor of University of Colorado, and the EL fellow at the US Embassy, Armenia.
In the workshop, attendees defined project-based learning, analyzed and evaluated a sample project, evaluated the benefits and challenges with group projects, and analyzed a scoring rubric and used it to evaluate a project.
The participants were highly engaged, and shared their successes and challenges in implementing project-based learning in their classrooms.
An upcoming workshop is scheduled on June the 20th on teaching and learning in culturally diverse classrooms.
