As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to reshape the landscape of modern education, equipping educators with cutting-edge digital pedagogy tools has become a global priority. Under the umbrella of the SIN NEC project (Sustainability and Internationalisation capacities to promote modernisation of Newcomers’ Higher Education in Neighbourhood East Countries), an international course was successfully conducted: “Virtual Exchange Program on Education, AI Teaching Methods and Green Communication Tools”.
This course was jointly developed and delivered by Eurasia International University (EIU, Armenia) and Alte University (Georgia). The module was led by Edgar Amirkhanyan, Ani Tamazyan (PhD in Philology), and Tornike Bakakuri.
Key Course Details & Structure
- Timeframe: September 20, 2026 – October 21, 2026
- Workload: 60 total hours (equivalent to 2 ECTS credits)
- Format: 6 live synchronous online sessions via Zoom, combined with asynchronous teamwork, independent study, and a final evaluation meeting
- Target Disciplines: Education, English Language Teaching (ELT), Educational Technology, and Digital Pedagogy
Learning Objectives & Session Highlights
The primary goal of the module was to empower educators to effectively choose, adapt, and design AI-supported learning materials and activities, while fostering green and sustainable communication practices.
The program covered six structured live sessions:
- AI Study Tools (Led by Edgar Amirkhanyan): Exploring AI applications for independent learning, language practice, research, and personalised education.
- AI-Powered Digital Marketing Tools (Led by Edgar Amirkhanyan): Utilising AI for visual communication, promotional materials, and digital content creation in educational contexts.
- AI Green Communication Tools (Led by Edgar Amirkhanyan): Leveraging AI tools for environmental and sustainability-themed presentations and collaborative projects.
- AI-Powered Tools for Creating ELT Materials (Led by Ani Tamazyan): Hands-on creation of visually engaging and level-adapted language learning resources using platforms such as Canva AI.
- AI Tools for Lesson Planning and Classroom Activities (Led by Ani Tamazyan): Designing differentiated lesson plans and learner-centred activities using tools like MagicSchool.
- AI Tools for Interactive and Multimedia Lessons (Led by Ani Tamazyan): Integrating generative AI tools (including Google AI Studio) to build interactive and learner-focused English language tasks.
Ethical Principles & Intercultural Collaboration
In addition to practical implementation, the module strongly emphasised responsible AI integration. Participants critically examined issues surrounding data privacy, academic integrity, copyright, over-reliance, and algorithmic bias. Furthermore, working in cross-institutional virtual teams enabled participants to build intercultural communication skills, digital netiquette, and collaborative problem-solving capabilities.
Certification and Requirements
Upon completing the course, successful participants received a certificate / micro-credential awarded by EIU and partner institutions. Criteria included attending at least 80% of live sessions, active participation in training tasks, completing asynchronous coursework, and submitting a final independent research assignment.
