A workshop with the participation of international program coordinators from Armenian universities and the education system was held at Khachatur Abovyan Armenian State Pedagogical University, initiated by the Erasmus+ National Office in Armenia.
The aim of the meeting was to present the experience, achievements, challenges, and difficulties that universities have accumulated during the implementation of various international programs.
Nune Jomardyan, Deputy Head of the Department of Law at Eurasia International University (EIU), presented the project “Development of Harmonization of the Internationalization of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation in EU and Partner Countries” (#HARMONY).
Speaking about the results, she emphasized that as a result of the three-year project, an internationalization strategy has been developed and approved, along with the adoption of a policy on full recognition of credits and a student recruitment strategy.
Eurasia International University has been the Armenian partner and implementer of the “Harmony” project in cooperation with the University of Seville, Spain.
Anna Martirosyan, Head of the Department of Management at EIU, also presented to the participants the ongoing achievements of EIU’s newly launched project “Sustainability and Internationalization Promoting Modernization of Universities in Eastern Neighborhood Countries” (SIN-NEC). Within the framework of this program, internationalization self-assessment tools and strategies are being developed, along with training activities.
The participants emphasized the importance of organizing such meetings and exchanging valuable experiences, noting that they serve as an effective platform for the development of higher education and the strengthening of international cooperation.
