A delegation from Eurasia International University (EIU), led by Rector Suren Ohanyan, participated in a workshop hosted by the University of Genoa, Italy, within the framework of the Erasmus+ “Establishment of National Framework of Key Performance Indicators for Good Governance and Quality Towards Inclusive, Digital and Green Oriented Higher Education in Armenia” (KPI4HE) project.
Given the strategic focus of the workshop, the EIU delegation also included Samvel Pipoyan, Chairman of the University Governing Board.
The workshop addressed key aspects of enhancing higher education governance and strategic planning. Participants explored the formulation of educational and research priorities in higher education institutions, the role of institutional research in ensuring data-informed and systematic decision-making, and the development of coherent, forward-looking institutional strategies.
Representatives from the University of Genoa (Italy), and the Technical Universities of Oldenburg and Dresden (Germany), presented their experience in strategic management and the implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs). The Armenian National Framework of Key Performance Indicators for Higher Education (NF-KPI) was also introduced and discussed among the project consortium partners.
EIU presented its own experience in institutional strategy design, internal quality assurance systems, and the establishment of KPI mechanisms. The delegation emphasized the significance of evidence-based planning and quality assurance in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the university.
The KPI4HE project aims to improve higher education system governance, university strategic planning, and management, contributing to quality and inclusive, digital, and green-oriented higher education in Armenia. This is pursued through the development and implementation of the National Framework of Key Performance Indicators (NF-KPI), the operationalization of Institutional Research and Planning Services (IRPS), and the revision of State Institutional Accreditation Standards in alignment with the NF-KPI.
