From February 3-6, 2025, the SIN NEC Training on Teaching in the Heterogeneous Classroom & Virtual Exchange successfully took place at the CUAS Campus in Villach, Austria.
Over four days, educators from Neighbourhood East countries gathered to enhance their teaching approaches for diverse and international classrooms.
During the training, participants explored:
Inclusive Teaching Strategies – Designing curricula that embrace diversity, fostering inclusive communication, and adapting assessment methods.
Virtual Exchange Tools – Integrating online collaboration, overcoming challenges in digital teaching, and enhancing student engagement in the virtual classroom.
Led by experts Janet Brown, and Eithne Knappitsch, the training provided hands-on experience and concrete action plans for educators to implement in their own institutions.
What’s next?
Participants will now take their knowledge forward, developing and co-creating innovative courses in the Spring 2025 semester, ensuring that higher education continues to evolve towards inclusivity and digitalization.
