On May 13, 2021, the Department of International Relations of Eurasia International University initiated a roundtable discussion for students participating in the Erasmus + International Exchange Program. The list of participants included Shogher Galstyan (Management, Bachelor), Zhenya Maghakyan (Project Management, Master), Armine Barseghyan (Foreign Languages and Literature, Bachelor). The meeting was organized both online and offline simultaneously. The students were able to follow the presentation made by Zhenya online and ask her questions.
During the above-stated meeting, the participants of the Erasmus + program presented their host universities: the features and structures, educational programs, teaching-assessment methods, as well as the procedures of organizing courses and exams.
It should be noted, that Shogher had studied at the University of Mykolas Romeris (Lithuania), Zhenya at the University of Natural Sciences in Warsaw (Poland), and Armine studied at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain).
The peculiarities of the teaching methods in different universities, the restrictions due to COVID, the difficulties, and the ways of overcoming them became a special subject of discussion.
The students spoke about the obstacles they had to deal with before and during the mobility program with great enthusiasm, they presented their current achievements, and throwing a glance to their past, advised the students to be more initiative, active, and participate in exchange programs.
The participants of the discussion were asked several questions, aiming at drawing comparative parallels between the host universities and EIU in terms of clarifying the educational processes.
It should be reminded, that the round-table discussion was attended by students interested in international exchange programs, who had the opportunity to clarify issues that were of their desired interest.
