On May 25th, 2020, an online master class on “Quality Assurance Components in Armenia’s Drug Regulation Processes” was initiated by the Chair of “Pharmacy” of Eurasia International University.
The master class was conducted by Mkrtich Shakaryan, who is the head of the department of Proper Pharmaceutical Activities at Scientific Center of Drug and Medical Technology Expertise after Academician Emil Gabrielyan.
Ensuring the quality of drug throughout their circulation (from production to delivery) is one of the main issues in the healthcare system as it is directly related to the effectiveness and safety of the drug, which in its turn plays a big role in the treatment process.

During the meeting, the speaker presented the international and local requirements and approaches at all stages of proper drug production and sale. Quality assurance and quality control points were especially emphasized as the main guarantee of the product safety and security. The steps towards the mutual recognition of the scientific expert center with the international authorized bodies were also covered during the workshop.
It is worth mentioning that the participants of the workshops were not only the students of the “Pharmacy” department of EIU but students of other Universities and specialists interested in the field.
