Forced landing in Belarus discussed by Oxford and Lithuanian legal scholars 

Join for the webinar on June 3rd, 2021 at 4 pm LT time, where the international incident with Ryanair Flight 4978 will be discussed by Oxford and Lithuanian legal experts. This diversion was widely reported; however, the legal issues are still not covered in detail, the main questions being whether states may order civil aircraft flying over their territory to land for certain purposes, and whether they are entitled to compel them to do so. Moreover, the webinar will cover the responsibility under the Montreal Sabotage Convention of 1971 and The Hague Hijacking Convention of 1970, as well as other related legal issues.
