On September 20 the information meeting of the EU co-financed “Curriculum Development – Joint MA Program in Political Science” (JoPScip) Project was held at the Eurasia International University.
The institutional coordinator of the Project at EIU, Vice-Rector of EIU Dr. Ruben Markosyann presented to the university’s administrative, teaching staff and students the main goal of the project and the implemented activities. The primary objective of the JoPScip Project is to advance good governance, peace, security, and human development while promoting active citizenship. This will be achieved by implementing a modernized, internationalized, and digitized joint MA degree program in Political Science tailored for the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries.
Six university professors completed “teacher’s training” at the Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje (North Macedonia) and the University of Palis Lodron in Salzburg (Austria) and are currently approaching graduation by the jointly discussed educational modulesIn June and July, and currently, the development of subject programs for jointly discussed educational modules is nearing completion. The participants of the information meeting were presented in detail the list of courses offered by the International University of Eurasia.
At the same time, Dr. R. Markosyan informed that the JOPSCIB project consortium members are considering the possibilities of expanding the relevant partnership and, in particular, the creation of a joint master’s program with a number of universities of the the Balkan region within the framework of the POSIG Master’s program “Integration and Management” initiative.
The participants were also presented with works related to the international accreditation of the above-mentioned Master’s program.
The JoPScip project, co-funded by the EU in the framework of the Erasmus+ program, was launched in 2024. It is implemented by a Consortium of universities, including the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA, Georgia, Project Coordinator), Eurasia International University (EIU, Armenia), Yerevan State University (YSU, Armenia), Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU, Georgia), Paris-Lodron-Universität Salzburg (PLUS, Austria), and Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje (North Macedonia).
