On June 30, US Delegates from Stonehill College summed up the LION (Learning Inside Out Network) program in Armenia.
It should be reminded that on June 9, the professors from the US Stonehill College, Todd Gernes, Anna Ohanyan and their eight students arrived in Armenia. The latter examined US foreign policy, corruption and violence, human trafficking, climate change and gender issues, the connection with peace, as well as challenges to Syrian refugees. The students later presented their impressive reports at the two-day international scientific student conference entitled “Local Roots of Global Peace” organized by Eurasia International University, after the three-week research in such famous organizations like “Transparency International” Anti-Corruption Center, Eurasia Partnership Foundation, “Civil Rights Defenders Without Borders” NGO, “Acopian” Center for the Environment at the American University of Armenia and “Women’s Resource Center”.
Excursions, scientific visits and various cultural events have been organized to ensure the rapid and effective integration of students into the new environment.
Let us add that the LION program is the result of joint efforts by US Stonehill College, Eurasia Partnership Foundation and Eurasia International University.
