Before the beginning of the EIU master’s degree program of Law specialization, the freshmen met with the rector of the university Doctor-professor Mr. Suren Ohanyan. The meeting with the future master students was jointly combined both in the classroom face to face and online.
At the beginning of the meeting, the rector first congratulated the students admitted with free or discounted tuition privileges, then welcomed students to continue their master’s degree at Eurasia International University, noting that undergraduate education differs from master’s education both in terms of content and procedures. Continuing his speech, Rector S. Ohanyan emphasized that the University, represented by the Head of the EIU Chair of Law, Doctor-Professor Rafik Petrosyan, considers training future lawyers with comprehensive, high-quality fundamental knowledge in law as a key to success. The enhanced education will enable the students ability to carry out in-depth, basic and professional research, identify issues related to legal regulation, make reliable proposals on legislation as well as address various management issues, provide high-level legal advice, and fight against the crime proactively and effectively. For this purpose, the faculty lecturers have theoretical skills and in-depth practical experience in the field, specialists, who are guided by international standards, and with revised educational programs following the requirements of the modern labor market. Summing up the meeting, the rector wished the master students success in paving their professional path.
Then the freshmen took part in the lesson. The scheduled classes were the “Legal Correspondence” (lecturer M. Hakobyan), “Problems of preliminary investigation in the Republic of Armenia” (lecturer A. Ayvazyan), and in another classroom of the university lecturer D. Harutyunyan was teaching “ICT in professional issues” to the second-year masters online.
