On April 22-26, Eurasia International University hosted Dr. Maria Pascual Mora of the Faculty of Physiology at the Valencia University (Spain) and Marta Piqueres, Laboratory Assistant of the same Department, who had a weekly exchange of experience at the Eurasia International University within the Erasmus + International Exchange Program.
Maria Pascual Mora held a two-day lecture at EIU on “Role of the TLR4 immune response in alcohol‐induced brain dysfunctions in a model of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD)” and “Gender differences in alcohol-induced immune response in human and animal adolescents with binge drinking: Role of TLR4”. Interactive lessons were combined with discussions, which testified to the interest of students in the material.
During the visit, the representatives of the University of Valencia also participated in the classroom and lab work. The latter highlighted the combination of assortment, demonstration and experimentation during the lesson and highlighted the interest of the students in the laboratory work and discussion of its theoretical part.
The one-week visit, foreign delegates visited museums, cultural centers in Yerevan and Armenia, accompanied by EIU student-mentors.
At the end of the visit Maria Pascual Mora and Marta Piqueres shared with their impressions with EIU Rector Suren Ohanyan. The Rector highlighted the exchange of experience in the EIU as a way to improve the educational process and expressed conviction that the cooperation would be continuous.
