It is our pleasure to invite you to Erasmus+ Higher Education Seminar under the the theme “Driving University Strategies towards the Internationalization through the Use of International Benchmarks”

The event is organised in the frames of the Technical Assistance Missions (TAM) to the National Team of Erasmus+ Higher Education Reform Experts (HEREs) in Armenia.

The aim of this seminar is to assist Armenian Universities to improve the benchmarking of international experiences and strategic management. The participants will learn how to benchmark University strategies and to align institutional strategies to the government policies.
The main takeaways from the perspective of participants will be the following:
Participants will know

  • what is Performance Based Agreement (PBA).
  • PBAs in the context of Performance Based Funding (PBF)
  • PBA and other policy instruments
  • world experience in implementing PBAs

Participants will be able to

  • distinguish between different types of PBA
  • identify functions of PBA in overall public funding system
  • clearly identify the role and functions of PBA in relations with other policy instruments

The seminar will be delivered by Irina Ferencz, Deputy Director at the Brussels-based Academic Cooperation Association (ACA)  – a mainly European umbrella organisation, which brings together national-level agencies from many European countries that act as higher education internationalization vectors in and for the respective higher education systems. Irina’s main expertise is in the fields ofinternational student mobility (both quantitative and qualitative analyses) and in internationalization policies at the University and national level, including the assessment of internationalization via indicators. Over the years Irina led ACA’s Mapping mobility in European higher education study (2011) and European and national mobility policies study (2012), both of which involved EU-wide surveys of 30+ countries
